 Casa Frela gallery New York

Casa Frela was the site of DOWNrightART—a unique exhibit organized by Alexander’s Angels www.alexandersangels.org that showcased works of nine accomplished artists who have overcome the cognitive and physical obstacles imposed by Down syndrome to develop a serious body of work.
The show ran from March 14 to April 4, 2009.

Bernadette wins first place at  Hartman Park art program.

Recently, Metro Parks’ Cultural Arts Division asked its Community Centers to encourage children involved in their visual arts programs to take part in an exciting nationwide contest, "All Kids Can Create", for children 5 to 15 years old. This contest also includes the disabilities class ages 18+.  Metro Parks awarded 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place ribbons to children participating from each Community Center Class.
